We are delighted to welcome three new horticulturists to our CountryLife branches in Castlecomer & Ballyhale. Get to know a little more about them below..

                                   Aimee Moore, CountryLife Ballyhale, Kilkenny

Aimee joins our Ballyhale branch as Head Horticulturist with over 10 years experience, following her time as Head Gardener on the beautiful grounds of Mount Loftus, Co. Kilkenny. Following in her father's footsteps & his passion for horticulture, Aimee's favourite aspect of Horticulture is Garden design where she finds herself frequently drawing Landscape/Garden plans and loves helping customers transform spaces within their own garden! Her love for nature led her to take a role as Head Horticulturist in CountryLife, Ballyhale, where she can combine both helping customers achieve their desired garden and passion for working with nature.
"The best thing about working in the garden centre is being around nature, plant lovers and such a vast variety of plants. There is a plant for every situation and for any time of the year!"

Mary Brennan, CountryLife Castlecomer, Kilkenny

Mary has over 7 years experience in both Gardening & Retail and excited to welcome her onboard as Head Horticulturist to our Castlecomer branch. Mary's favourite aspect of Horticulture is plant identification and plant history. The ranges are so vast in every garden which makes each and every garden unique.

"My favourite time of the year is Springtime, although a little late arriving this year, it creates a fresh sense of excitement as long evenings arrive allowing us all to get out and about and start planting! There is a plant for all areas of a garden, all year around"

                                                       David Brogan, CountryLife Castlecomer, Kilkenny

A recent masters graduate in Raspberry production in conjunction with Teagasc, David joins us as an Assistant Horticulturist in our Castlecomer branch. With a strong passion in fruit and vegetables in particular, David is a strong advocate for growing your own fruit & veg. David's passion in this aspect of horticulture originated whilst spending his childhood in South Africa on farm growing all types of fruit.

David welcomes you to call in with any queries you may have in particular to his area of expertise - growing your own fruit & veg!
